The Little 8s Youth Runs are broken down into the following age/distance categories:
Age Distance
3 & under 100 yards
4 to 5 100 yards
Special 8s 100 yards
6 to 7 300 yards
8 to 9 300 yards
10 to12 600 yards
Registration is required and forms may be picked up in the Fun Fest Store at the Kingsport Town Center. Registration is $3 ($13 with shirt) thru July 15, $5($15 with shirt) on July 16 and 17. No fee for Special 8s (donations only). All participants will receive an official race t-shirt. |

McDonalds of Greater Kingsport Little 8s Youth Field Day will host a variety of field day activities as well as the Little 8s age group races and Special 8s Run. This event has become one of the most popular events for children during Fun Fest. Held on the first Saturday of Fun Fest, July 17 at J. Fred Johnson Stadium from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 pm, with the age group races starting at 6:58 pm.
Special 8s will bring a level of competition to those individuals with special needs. The event will give competitors the ability to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special 8s participants and the community.
Please make plans to attend this event and cheer on the participants as they go for the gold!
