Early Arrival Experiences

Kick off your conference experience with exclusive early arrival opportunities across Kingsport, Bristol, and Johnson City. From local flavor to regional culture, these curated experiences highlight the best of our region. Space is limited and registration is required, so be sure to sign up early and make the most of your time in Northeast Tennessee!

Guided Hike at Bays Mountain

Enjoy the sights of Bays Mountain Reservoir on your way to the iconic Fire Tower. A park ranger will share stories about the reservoir and the Fire Tower along this guided hike. The hike is 3.3 miles round trip along moderate to advance trails with the last 8 tenths of the hike being steep, with steps and switchbacks along the way. Once at the Fire Tower, you’ll have a bird’s eye view of the park, Holston River, and Kingsport. Click here for more information and to reserve your spot!

Line Dancing Class at The Reserve

Yeehaw, Y’all! Get ready to boot-scoot and boogie with Northeast Tennessee Tourism. Whether you’re a TikTok dance pro or just looking to learn some new moves, this high-energy class is where it’s at. Led by “Line Dancing with Carla,” no partner is needed, because these steps will be all on your own! Class includes lunch to make sure your two step stays fresh. Register here to reserve your spot!

Bristol Motor Speedway Tour

Buckle up, it’s Bristol baby! This experience includes a brief presentation about the history of Bristol Motor Speedway and recap of recent events, a catered lunch, and the unforgettable thrill of taking track laps around “The Last Great Colosseum.” Guests will feel the steep banking, have the chance to sign the start/finish line, and pose for a photo in Victory Lane! Canvas of the City Downtown Walking Tour of Johnson City

Join us in JC! We’ll start at the immersive Johnson City Visitor Center and then explore a park that has been transformed from a flood-prone area into a beautiful green space showcasing art and stunning plants. Following the trail, we’ll head down to King Commons to see the iconic historic Johnson City sign, more art installations, the Johnson City Railroad Experience and Fischman’s Gallery.
