Father’s Day is Sunday, June 16, so we’ve put together a list of things you can do in Kingsport with dad to celebrate the day!
Kick off Father’s Day weekend on Friday night in Downtown Kingsport. Bring dad out for a free concert on Broad Street as part of the Twilight Alive Summer Concert Series. Come early and eat at a downtown restaurant, bring a chair and listen to music from Lisa and The E-Lusion Band. Music starts at 7. Select food and drink vendors will be on site.
Bays Mountain Brewing Company continues the celebrations on Saturday, June 15. They’ll be hosting a food truck and three rounds of Music Bingo. The first round begins at 4 and is Disney (or “Kid songs that Dad or Grandpa would never admit to his drinking buddies that he knows all the words to because he’s watched these movies with his kids/grandkids an embarrassing amount of times”) themed. The second round is at 5:00 and is themed “Songs for Dad” and third is at 6:00 with 80s Rock.
MeadowView is hosting a Father’s Day BBQ-Style lunch on June 16 from 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM. Lunch will include pulled pork, chicken, ribs, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, slaw, baked beans, buns and banana pudding! Click here to make a reservation now.
Fizzy Fairway in Downtown Kingsport is offering a Father’s Day Special – dads can play a 9-hole round of interactive putt-putt for free from 12-8 PM on the 16th. Fizzy Fairway also offers arcade games, ice cream and old-fashioned sodas.
If you want to get outdoors, take dad to a baseball game at Hunter Wright Stadium. See the Kingsport Axmen face off against the Greeneville Flyboys at 5:30 PM on Sunday evening. Buy tickets here.
