Milligan Mountain Madness returns in 2026 for its 19th year. This year, Visit Kingsport is excited to partner with Milligan University to co-host the event. The volleyball tournament will take place from August 20th until the 22nd at the Tribe Athletic Complex in Kingsport.
A total of 10 teams from seven states will be in attendance. Teams include: Milligan University (TN), Bryan College (TN), University of Tennessee Southern (TN), Tennessee Wesleyan University (TN), Carolina University (NC), Indiana University Southeast (IN), Andrew College (GA), Spartanburg Methodist College (SC), Blue Mountain Christian University (MS) and Ave Maria University (FL).

Additionally, each team will have one or more honorees selected to join the Milligan Mountain Madness All-Tournament Team. Those athletes will be announced at the conclusion of the tournament.
“We’re excited to welcome the Milligan Mountain Madness Volleyball Tournament to Kingsport,” said Sarah McCartt, Visit Kingsport’s Marketing and Events Services Coordinator. “This is our first time co-hosting the tournament, and we can’t wait to grow our partnership with Milligan University.”
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students each day. A tournament pass can also be purchased for the entire weekend. Those are $25 for adults and $10 for students.
