Kingsport’s Wing Fling Returns with Record Number of Vendors

KINGSPORT, Tenn. – Kingsport’s spiciest event, Wing Fling, returns on Thursday, November 5. The event will take place at the Kingsport Farmers Market from 5:30-8:00 PM. Wing Fling, presented by Eastman Credit Union, is celebrating its eighth year in 2026.

Restaurants from around the region will be creating and serving their best wings in a variety of flavors. Attendees will have the chance to sample wings from each vendor and vote for the “People’s Choice Award.” This year we have a record-breaking 13 vendors providing wings. They are: Backwoods Burger Bar, Barrelhouse BBQ Smokehouse, Beef ‘O’ Brady’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Center Street Grill and Smokehouse, Delta Blues BBQ, East Coast Wings & Grill, Horse Creek Lounge at Meadowview, Johnny Brusco’s, Nick’s Restaurant, Oak & Anchor Grill, Ole Crow Tavern and Southern Craft BBQ.

A panel of first responders representing Kingsport Fire, Kingsport Police, Sullivan County EMS and the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office will be the official judges for the event. They will select winners for “Best Hot Wing,” “Best Sweet Wing,” “Most Original Flavor,” and “Best Overall Wing.”

New this year, we’re excited to welcome local social media celebrity and food influencer, ZachBites, as a judge at Wing Fling. He travels throughout the region to sample hometown favorites and hidden gems and posts video reviews on meals. At Wing Fling, along with our panel of first responders, he’ll be presenting the first-ever “ZachBites Favorite Flavor” award.

Back by popular demand is the Wing Fling Battle of the Badges. A second panel of first responders representing Kingsport Fire, Kingsport Police, Sullivan County EMS and the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office will participate in a wing eating competition. The winning badge will take home the trophy for the year along with all the bragging rights!

“We’re excited to partner once again with Eastman Credit Union to bring Wing Fling back for another year of great wings, friendly competition, and community fun,” said Lara Potter, Vice President of Visit Kingsport. “With a record-breaking 13 restaurants competing, new experiences like the ZachBites award and the return of Battle of the Badges, there’s never been a better time to come hungry and discover your new favorite wing.”

Although the focus of the night is all about the wings, there’s plenty more for attendees to enjoy. The event will feature a live DJ. Beer and seltzers will also be available for purchase. For the non-wing eaters, Hot Dog Hut will also be on site selling food.

Tickets include entry, wing sampling from each vendor, carrots, celery, dipping sauce and tea. Tickets are $20 and will be available for purchase beginning Friday, September 4 online at KPTWingFling.com or at the Kingsport Chamber (400 Clinchfield Street, Kingsport). Children 10 and under are free and do not require a ticket for entry unless they are planning to sample wings. The ticket price will increase to $25 the day of the event.
