Spooky season is here, and we’re ready to eat, drink and be scary! Check out some of the spooktacular events happening around our region this Halloween season.

Witches Night Out in Downtown Kingsport is this Saturday, October 19 from 5-8 pm. Get ready to be bewitched in Downtown Kingsport during the 3rd annual Witches Night Out! A variety of downtown businesses are offering scary-good specials and magical experiences. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased here.

Also happening on October 19 is the Haunted Hollow Nocturnal Art Market at High Voltage. Beginning at 6 pm, there will be local art, live music from Vespers and food trucks. Opie’s Pizza Wagon and Smashed Tri-Cities will be on site with some cauldron-fresh cuisine. Pull out your most fa-boo-lous costume because best dressed will receive a prize. Shake, stir and sip some spooky creations at The Reserve’s Cocktail Workshop. Happening on October 24 from 6-7:30 pm, this ghostly good cocktail-making session is a fun, hands-on workshop perfect to get you in the spirit. Complimentary snacks will keep you fueled for the fun. Halloween hauntings continues on October 24th with a Halloween Madness Comedy Show at 6ix Grist and Grind. Beginning at 7 pm, you’re invited to come out and see some of the best local comedians for a free show. There will be a costume contest and themed comedy to celebrate the Halloween holiday. On Friday, October 25, Petworks Animal Services is hosting a Trunk or Treat. There will be a costume contest, door prizes, the Crafty Dog food truck and adoptable dogs. It’ll be a howling good time for all. The fun beings at 6 pm at 3101 East Stone Drive. If you’d like to spread some Halloween cheer to Petworks’ furry friends, you can stop by and donate packaged food, treats or toys to help fill their buckets with goodies. Saturday, October 26 offers a full day of frightening fun!

Kick off the day with the 16th Annual Haunted Half Marathon and Relays. The half marathon begins at 7:30 am and the monster mile begins at 8 at the Kingsport Chamber. Online registration is open and can be found here.

Enjoy an afternoon of ghostly good fun in Downtown Kingsport! Bring the kiddos in their costumes on Saturday, October 26th from 12-2 pm for Trick or Treat on the Street. Local businesses and organizations will be passing out all treats and no tricks. Plus, don’t miss out on some tasy treats from food trucks: Diggy Donuts, Sips 66, Dip’s Ice Cream Kingsport ,and Lazzzy Chicken. To learn more, click here.

The Reserve is taking you back to school with a Zombie Prom. On October 26 beginning at 6 pm, join the undead for a night that’ll leave you saying Fangs for the Memories! There’s a $40 cover charge that includes complimentary spooky treats, ghoulish drinks (2 included), DJ / Dancing and a Photobooth with free photos. It all takes place upstairs at The Reserve. Only undead or prom attire allowed. A prom king and queen will be announced at 10 pm with prizes. Downstairs you can party with Banjo Barbee and the Buzz for no cover. The Downtown Kingsport Creepy Crawl Bar Crawl is happening on Saturday, October 26 at 6 pm at High Voltage. You’ll visit four different downtown businesses and enjoy a delightfully scary beverage at each location. Costumes are strongly encouraged. Model City Monster Bash returns for its second year with largest costume contest in the region. Come ready to get the party start-dead with food and drinks that will haunt your hunger, a dance floor, DJ Chill, a silent auction, photo booth and more. This year’s special celebrity judge is Jeremy Ray Taylor from It and Goosebumps 2. Every ticket purchased is eligible to enter the costume contest. Krazy Chicken is hosting its Annual Halloween Party on October 26th from 8 pm until 3 am. This event is open to ages 18 and up and ID is required. This year’s theme is Beetlejuice (Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice)! No cover charge for the party but Krazy Chicken is accepting donations for the Safe House and Child Advocacy Center. Come dressed up and enter the costume contest, enjoy a DJ, full bar and door prizes. It’s Show Time! For more information, click here.

The Howl-O-Ween Dog Show takes place at Gypsy Circus on October 27 from 1-4 pm. Gypsy Circus Cider Company is partnering with North Star K9 Training to find the spookiest pup, More information can be found here.

Spooky fun awaits this Halloween at Fizzy Fairway. On October 31 from 3-9 pm, stop by Fizzy Fairway for a Halloween Special. For $14, you get a round of mini golf, arcade pass, drink, scoop of ice cream and a Halloween-themed golf ball. Dress up, play some spooky rounds and win scary prizes. Be the Miracle A.S.P.I.R.E. Trunk or Treat is happening on Saturday, November 2. This free event takes place from 6-8 pm at Brickyard Park and is open to all with intellectual and physical disabilities. This program is a part of the A.S.P.I.R.E. program (Adaptive: Sports | Recreation | Inclusive Recreation Experiences). Stop by and enjoy candy, costumes and kickball.
