There’s always something brewing in Kingsport! And whether you’re looking to quench your thirst with craft beer, moonshine or cider, the city offers up a variety of libations for patrons to enjoy.

Bays Mountain Brewery, located in Downtown Kingsport, crafts its own beer and often changes up what’s on tap, giving customers new choices all the time.

One of the brewery’s most popular beers is the 2280 IPA, which pays homage to the elevation of the radio towers at Bays Mountain. Other favorites are the light and crispy Kingsport Kommon Ale, the Rogue Blonde, and the Azalea Trail Honey Cream Ale. Beer flights are also available at the brewery which features an array of food trucks serving up tasty goodies every night.

Gypsy Circus Cider Company, the only craft cidery of its kind in Tennessee, is a 40-barrel facility where the cider must be produced in an organic, gluten-free, adventurous way. The cidery’s staples are Rain Dancer dry cider, the Queen of the Swords sweet cider, and other ciders with an adventurous tone.

Gypsy Circus also features the Puppet Master and Elixir Series, which are enhanced with peppers, vanilla beans, ginger, and other amazing flavors. The cidery, which also features live music throughout the year, uses local apples in its delicious ciders.

Hook & Ladder Distillery, which features a theme honoring all firefighters, utilizes an old, thumper-style still and produces a high-proof moonshine with quality mash and a superior taste. Flavors include Mango, Original Recipe, Cinnaburn, Orange Dreamsickle, Honey, Salted Watermelon, 140 Fire, and Salted Carmel.

Hook & Ladder offers moonshine sampling for visitors, as well as a large array of merchandise.

Model City Tap House features regional craft beer with 20 on tap that continuously rotates so that fresh beers are being poured constantly. Beers include Lieutenant Dank, Tangerine Wheat, Red Vanilla Porter, Black Watch, Brown Bear Ale, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, Highland IPA, Sly Rye Porter, The Forty-Four, and many others.

Model City also serves lunch and dinner and features live music, trivia, and other events throughout the year.

With all of those incredible choices, we feel sure you’ll be able to find a favorite watering hole to please your palate in Kingsport.
