Home » Blog » Father’s Day in Kingsport: 5 Ways to Celebrate Dad This Weekend

We all agree that Dad deserves a little fun for Father’s Day, right? Sometimes it can be hard to figure out the perfect gift, but not to worry! We’ve compiled a list of ideas on how to make this Father’s Day in Kingsport the best one yet!

1. Get into the Outdoors

Bays Mountain Park and Planetarium is the perfect place to kick off Father’s Day Weekend. Whether for the adventurous outdoorsman or the dad looking for a laid-back family outing, the 3,650-acre nature preserve has something for everyone. If he’s into mountain biking, check out the newest addition to the park, a 4.2-mile trail named Moonshiner’s Delight full of twists and turns.

2. Caddy for your Daddy

Nothing says Father’s Day quite like Bermuda Fairways and Bentgrass Greens. Volunteer to drive the cart and treat dad to a round at one of Kingsport’s golf courses. Cattails at MeadowView, Warriors’ Path State Park and Crockett Ridge Golf Course each offer up 18-holes of golf and an endless amount of fun.

3. Chill at the Mill

Have a sports lover in the family? Look no further than The Sports Mill in Downtown Kingsport. Delivering 30+ virtual sports and games on 10ft. simulators, Dad can try out as many sports as he’d like during your reserved time, all while enjoying the sports lounge, beer on tap and maybe a Mountain Dew slushie from the vintage machine on-site.

4. Sunday Funday Brunch

For the dad who has it all, treat him to a meal he won’t soon forget. Father’s Day in Kingsport wouldn’t be complete without brunch at Evelyn’s Kitchen Table, Stir Fry Café or Riverfront Seafood Company. Each of these stops offer up a unique brunch menu each Sunday featuring delicious items like Southern Style Chicken and Waffles, Gourmet French Toast and Shrimp and Grits.

5. Grab a Pint with Pop

Finish the weekend out strong by visiting one of Kingsport’s breweries for live music and cold drinks. Bays Mountain Brewing Company in downtown Kingsport offers up a variety of cold brews on tap, including their seasonal Mango Coriander Wheat Ale. Another favorite stop for a pint is Gypsy Circus Cider Company, Tennessee’s first craft cidery. Treat dad to their seasonal Samba Singer Pineapple Cider.

We hope you enjoy this special day (and weekend) here in Kingsport with the amazing dads in your life. Tag us in your Father’s Day adventures on social media @VisitKingsport, so we can share your fun with our followers!
